BEACH WATER TEST RESULTS
Test are taken weekly by the Benzie-Leelanau County Health Department and also available on their website.
Samples taken:
6/14/2023 Results - The beach is Level 1 - for full body contact - satisfactory water quality for E.coli levels.
6/21/2023 Results - The beach is Level 1 - for full body contact - satisfactory water quality for E.coli levels.
6/29/2023 Results - The beach is Level 1 - for full body contact - satisfactory water quality for E. coli levels.
7/5/2023 Results - The beach is Level 1 - for full body contact - satisfactory water quality for E. coli levels.
7/12/2023 Results - The beach is Level 1 - for full body contact - satisfactory water quality for E. Coli levels.
7/19/2023 Results - The beach is Level 1 - for full body contact - satisfactory water quality for E. Coli levels.
7/26/2023 Results - E. Coli levels were found at 613 colonies per 100/ml which is a Level 2 partial body contact advisory (E. coli levels meet EGLE standards for wading, fishing, and boating. Contact above the waist not advised).
7/28/2023 - re-sampled the morning of July 27, 2023, and is now Level 1 – for full body contact.
8/2/2023 Results - The beach is Level 1 - for full body contact - satisfactory water quality for E. Coli levels.
8/9/2023 Results - The beach is Level 1 - for full body contact - satisfactory water quality for E. Coli levels.
8/16/2023 Results - The beach is Level 1 - for full body contact - satisfactory water quality for E. Coli levels.
8/23/2023 Results - The beach is Level 1 - for full body contact - satisfactory water quality for E. Coli levels.

Merganser broods are not being relocated this 2023 summer season because of Avarian Flu.
